When I joined the board of the Miami Beach Community Development Corporation (MBCDC) in 2017, I did so with one goal in mind — to help. The organization had suffered under previous leadership, but I was determined to be part of its recovery and to make a positive impact. After years of challenges and disagreements with Miami-Dade County, the Board ultimately made the responsible choice to stop fighting and work together.

I’m proud of my record of standing up for affordable housing in Miami Beach. While my opponents may choose to criticize, the reality is that none of them have taken ANY actions to support or advance affordable housing in our community like I have.
